About

Welcome to the Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. We believe that we have the most exciting and rewarding task in the University: to enable students to engage in the practical arts at the very highest level.

the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music

Over many decades the Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music have been providing and creating opportunities for some of the great artists who now work in Australia, and who have in the past contributed to our culture. When people come to our faculty they are in a melting-pot not only of ideas but of cultures and aesthetics. We feel that gives students the best chance to find out who they are and what they want to say. We want you to come and join us in this great adventure. It’ll be tough, exciting, and ultimately one of the most wonderful times in your life.

Reconciliation

We acknowledge the Elders, families and descendants of the Boonwurung and Wurundjeri people who have been and are the custodians of these lands. We acknowledge that the land in which we meet, work, perform, study and learn was the place of age-old ceremonies of celebration, initiation and renewal and that the local Aboriginal peoples have had and continue to have a unique role in the life of these lands.
