The University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, led by world-renowned conductor Associate Professor Richard Davis and featuring our very best student classical musicians, is the premier large performance ensemble at the University.
The University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is supported by The Sidney Myer and MSO Trust.
We are creating an unrivalled orchestral training program here at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. As a performing musician with over thirty years’ experience, I know what works and what doesn’t. I know that all performing musicians desire to play at their best. Always. When you hear our orchestra, you hear more than ninety talented musicians playing at a heightened technical level. You will also hear them playing their hearts out and having fun. I believe that if we are enjoying ourselves, then the audience will too.
