Nicholas recently completed a year long fellowship with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, performing with Sydney Symphony Sinfonia and the Sydney Symphony with whom he toured to China in 2014.
His masterclass with Concertmaster Andrew Haveron is featured in Sydney Symphony’s Digital Masterclass Series on Youtube. In 2013, Nicholas was the inaugural winner of the Sydney Symphony’s Emerging Artist Joan McKenzie Award. In 2014 he performed as a guest artist with Wilma & Friends at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Nicholas completed his Bachelor of Music at Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. His scholarships and awards include the Albert and Marie Diamant Bequest, CD Hume Violin Scholarship, Lionel Gell Foundation Scholarship, Ivy May Pendelbury Scholarship, Corinna D’Hage Mayer String Scholarship and the Alberto Zelman Violin Scholarship. Nicholas is currently undertaking the Professional Performance Program at the Australian National Academy of Music with Robin Wilson. He has performed in masterclasses with Dale Barltrop, Anthony Marwood, James Ehnes and the Tokyo String Quartet.
