Talia Le Couteur (Mezzo Soprano)
A thrilling emerging mezzo-soprano with a rich and dynamic voice, Talia Le Couteur graduated from her Bachelor of Music (majoring in Performance for Classical Voice) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2016, achieving a high distinction average. She is currently under the tutelage of the internationally renowned Suzanne Johnston, and during her degree learnt from the acclaimed Jocelyn Hickey.
Talia has previously achieved a high distinction in 6th grade AMEB Voice, performed in specialist choirs and ensembles such as Melbourne University's Vocal Ensemble, and has seasoned experience performing as a soloist. Talia annually competes in Eisteddfods, most recently winning the 2015 open age Art Song competition at Eisteddfod by the Bay and placing third in the prestigious Lieder section in 2016. She has performed annually as a soloist at the Bayside Carols in the Park in front of over 20,000 people, performing alongside names such as David Hobson and Lisa McCune.
Talia performed in her operatic debut with The Victorian Opera's Youth Opera in October 2016, as well as performing with Rehearsal Magazine in their inaugural A Little Night Music series.
Talia is based in Melbourne, Australia, and is available to be hired for functions, including weddings, concerts and corporate events.
