Teresa Duddy completed her Bachelor of Music at the University of Melbourne in 2009 during which time her performances included The Unilateral Experiment, Carmina Burana, the Autumn Princess in The Snow Queen, Yum Yum in The Mikado and Vicki in The Children’s Bach.
In 2009 Teresa moved to the United States to undertake her Masters of Music Performance at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, Roosevelt University. During this time she performed the roles of Barbara in The Conspirators, Lollete in La Rondine, and L’Enfant in L’Enfant et les Sortileges. She was also winner of the 2010 Concerto Competition. Teresa was a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Chorus performing under the baton of Riccardo Muti, Pierre Boulez and Helmuth Rilling. and performed the role of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with the Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar (Germany) and Clorinda in La Cenerentola with Lyric Opera of Chicago.
Upon returning to Australia in 2012 Teresa’s performances include Cindy and Wendy in Contact! (the Melbourne International Comedy Festival) Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly and Madame Mao for Victorian Opera. She was also the 2012 winner of the Warrnambool Eisteddfod Aria Competition, semi-finalist for the German Australia Opera Grant, and finalist for the Acclaim Awards. She is also a grant recipient from the Tait Memorial Trust, Opus 50, and the Opera and Arts Support Group. In 2014 she joined Opera Australia in their Production of Rogers & Hammerstein’s The King and I in the role of Lady Thiang
