Chamber Music group application
About Chamber Music
The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music has a long and distinguished history of offering outstanding chamber music experience for all levels of students. The Chamber Music class is one of the few performance subjects at the MCM in which students of all instruments and levels come together in an exciting and supportive environment for vibrant musical exchange and appreciation.
Students form their own chamber music groups at the beginning of the semester. They are then allocated a tutor to work with throughout the semester, resulting in a public performance. Weekly chamber music class provides students with an opportunity to explore the large variety in genre, style, instrumentation and interpretation as they refine their performance skills.
Students will develop techniques and skills required for 21st century chamber musicians and study selected repertoire to performance standard.
