About Orchestral Performance Practicum

This elective subject provides students a practical, work-integrated learning experience with a professional orchestra. By attending and observing rehearsals and through professional mentoring on orchestral techniques and excerpts, students gain rehearsal experience with and develop communication skills required by a professional orchestra.

About Special Ensemble Project

Students will refine their skills as contributing members of a professional musical ensemble and apply their performance skills as elite ensemble players. Master of Music (Orchestral Performance) students are invited to propose high quality and/or innovative ensemble projects (already in development with professional musicians) to the subject coordinator. Orchestral Performance Practicum

Students who wish to enrol in Orchestral Performance Practicum are required to apply for permission for one of the following subjects:

Orchestral Performance Practicum subjects may involve travel and require additional costs in addition to tuition fees.

Special Ensemble Project

Students who wish to enrol in Special Ensemble Project are required to apply for permission for one of the following subjects:

Applications must be submitted before the start of semester, however, late applications will be accepted due to extenuating circumstances.

You will generally be notified of the outcome of their application within five business days. Instructions on how to complete your enrolment will be included in application outcome.
