New student interviews are designed to assist with your instrument teacher allocation. Please note, this is not an audition and you are not required to bring your instrument.

These interviews are a requirement for students studying:
Bachelor of Music
Bachelor of Music (Honours)
Diploma in Music (Practical Music specialisation only)
Graduate Diploma of Music (Practical Music specialisation only)
Master of Music (Performance Teaching) (Piano students only)

Brass

New Student Interviews will occur in person in orientation week or following the first Brass class in week 1. Please check back on this page for updated information.

Attend Violin Class on Monday 27 July 2026 from 2pm-4pm in building 880 room 811, Ian Potter Southbank Centre. New Student interviews will take place following class interview with Curt Thompson.
