My Musical Journey
Wang Zheng-Ting, Director of the Australian Chinese Music Ensemble and a leading Sheng (Chinese mouth organ) player, has performed around the globe, including a solo recital in New York's Lincoln Centre. He has performed with the Venice Chamber Orchestra in Italy, the New Zealand String Quartet in Wellington and with Christine Sullivan and Zydeco Jump at the Shanghai International Spring Festival. This concert program spans folk songs to film music, including Wang Qingshen's Golden Phoenix, Ennio Morricone's Gabriel's Oboe (arranged for solo Sheng) and original compositions by Wang Zheng-Ting, including Seasons of Dreaming and Heaven and Hell.
Presented by the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, the Monday Lunch Hour Concert Series is kindly supported by the Cicely & Colin Rigg Bequest.
