Kate is a music therapist in Cape Town, South Africa. She has a passion for supporting the growth of the arts therapies within South Africa, particularly creating access to services within the public sector. Her research explores the role of music therapy within a South African public adolescent mental health service using an ethnographic approach: seeking to understand both the 'fit' of music therapy within the multidisciplinary team and what music therapy looks like in this context.
