Les Dialogues des Carmélites By Francis Poulenc

Based on the closing days of the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution in 1794, this opera, told in 12 ‘dialogues’, fictionalises the martyrdom of the Carmelite nuns who refused to renounce their vocation and were guillotined in Paris. This opera takes performers and audience on a staggering journey of fear, love and conviction.
