Melbourne Cello Festival 2017

Melbourne Cello Festival (MCF) was founded in 2015 by Artistic Director Alvin Wong to bring cellists around the world to Melbourne for the celebration of cello music. Its goal is to provide and promote cello at the highest level, to bring communities together through the love of cello and music, and to nurture the younger generations in music and art. This trinity of values, artistry, community and engagement, are the core of the Festival.

In 2017, the featured international artists are cellists Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi (Japan), Paul Katz (USA), Edith Salzmann (Germany/New Zealand) and Inbal Megiddo (Israel/New Zealand) and pianist Pei-Shan Lee.
