Alex Walton, Master of Film and Television (Documentary)
Alex Walton is a documentary filmmaker focusing on stories with a social conscience. She is concerned with making sense of the world through human experience. Alex has worked as director, cinematographer and editor on many short form documentary and narrative pieces in Australia and Europe. She was production assistant on ‘Into the Deep’ a feature Netflix Documentary. She has recently completed a Master of Film and Television (Documentary) at the Victorian College of the Arts, is a graduate of the European Film College in Denmark, and has a psychology degree from the University of Melbourne. Alex is a proud member of Dogmilk Films, a local film collective dedicated to the promotion and production of alternative and ambitious cinema. Alex's short film 'Oliver' won both Best Animation and the Audience Choice Award at WIFT Australia V-Fest 2021.
