Theatre Audition Preparation Workshop: Devised Performance
Explore ways to develop your creativity, imagination and the skills to devise your own work.
Planning to audition for a Theatre course? Seeking ways to develop your creativity, imagination and skills to devise your own original work?
This workshop focuses on how to generate original material and will equip you with the practical tools to ensure you can prepare to the best of your ability. Combining theatre-making and acting fundamentals, you will experiment with the elements of theatre; text, action, object, sound, senses and space to create a dynamic solo performance for use in your upcoming auditions.
This customised workshop is active, practical and creative, and will provide you with the encouragement and confidence to be audition-ready in the competitive audition process.
This course is facilitated by Xanthe Beesley, a Melbourne-based performance-maker with a background in theatre and dance.
