Meet Richard Roberts, Head of Design at the Victorian College of the Arts
Richard Roberts is an Australian freelance theatre designer and design teacher, based in Melbourne. His design experience includes designs for drama, dance, film, television and opera. Since his first professional engagement in 1977 as a resident designer at the State Theatre Company of South Australia, he has worked for all the major performing arts companies in Australia as well as working extensively internationally. He is now the Head of Design and Associate Professor at the Victorian College of the Arts. Here, he tells us what is currently exciting him in his field.

Meet Jo Briscoe, Lecturer and Course Coordinator in Design and Production at the University of Melbourne
Jo Briscoe is a production designer working in film and television and is a Lecturer in Design at the Victorian College of the Arts. Her professional design practice includes design for both stage and screen. Since completing her MFA in Design, she has maintained a diverse practice across theatre, opera, film and television. Meet Lisa Osborn, Head of Production at the University of Melbourne
Lisa Osborn has worked as a stage manager throughout Australia and internationally and has been at the VCA since 2018. She has worked on productions for many leading companies, including Malthouse Theatre, Sydney Theatre Company, Chunky Move, and Australian Dance Theatre, as well as presentations at major arts festivals including Edinburgh International Festival, Sydney Festival, Perth Festival, Adelaide Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Brisbane Festival, and MONA FOMA. Lisa took some time to tell us a little bit about the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production) at the University of Melbourne.
