Information about scholarship and studentship opportunities for research students.

Every scholarship has different eligibility criteria, so there's more than likely one that you are eligible for. Find the right scholarship for you on the University's scholarships website.

University Graduate Research and Equity scholarships

Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarships (RTP) which replaced Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) in 2018, and Melbourne Research Scholarships (MRS) are university research scholarships awarded at entry to the course and based on academic merit and previous research experience.

Enrolled students who are not in receipt of these types of scholarships can reapply for these scholarships during their candidature.

Scholarships are granted in line with University policy and the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music Graduate Research Scholarships Policy.

Scholarships are administered by the central Melbourne Scholarships Office and current recipients can check the Terms and Conditions of their scholarships online.

Melbourne Scholarships also administer a number of Equity-based scholarships that enrolled students may be eligible to apply for.
