Karyn's project aims to design and test a formal caregiver-delivered therapeutic singing approach, within a person-centered care model, for persons with Dementia. It also aims to explore Person-Centered Caregiver Singing as a viable tool for the promotion of person-centered care; ascertain what music therapy-informed skills are helpful to formal caregivers in their work with persons with Dementia; and contribute to training available to former caregivers in South Africa.
