These emerging artists present a never been heard (or seen) before sonata. Composed of three original 30-minute contemporary performance works to the tune of exposition, development, and recapitulation.
Two young lovers meet under starlight. Eve is carved from Adam’s ribcage. A scientist investigates how much potassium is in the universe. Apollo and Hyacinthus throw a frisbee. The sky rains champagne corks. A girl is waiting for a sign. What happened before that? What happened before that? What happened before that?
Content Warnings: This piece contains references to and depictions of death and simulated violence. It contains flashing lights/images, coarse language and sudden/loud noises. It also contains a live eating of banana on stage.
How deep is the water? How much can you see? How far can you go? How long is that piece of string? How close can we get? How far should you go? How human are you? How far is too far? How far will you go for (insert emotionally charging prompt here)? How far will they make you go? How deep is the water? Are you real?
Content Warnings: This piece contains low fog, coarse language, loud sounds and screaming. It contains depictions of death and suggestions of body horror. It also contains bright lights and flashing text.
El fin. To cease. To finish. To expire. Das ende. To draw to a close. To stop. La fine. To leave. To terminate. To conclude. Exitus… The end.
Content Warnings: This piece contains loud sounds, sustained sound, flashing lights and explicit language. It contains depiction and discussions of death, grief and loss. It also contains partial nudity and references to aging bodies, body hatred, extinction and rats.
The anticipated run-time of the full performance, including an interval, is approximately 2 hours. Latecomers will be admitted at the discretion of front of house.
