Graduate research seminar

Graduate research students enrolled at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in the disciplines of Composition, Music Performance, Music Psychology and Performance Science and Musicology/Ethnomusicology are required to attend Postgraduate Seminar and present a paper. Seminar details for the current semester are listed below.

Graduate research seminar

Students enrolled in Composition, Music Performance, Music Psychology and Musicology/Ethnomusicology must attend a minimum of 27 seminars while enrolled in their course and must give at least one paper. Composition students also attend Composition Seminar. All other discipline areas arrange their own seminars.

The Graduate Research Seminar is held weekly, every Thursday during semester.

The seminar can be a joint seminar or there can be a separate seminar for Music Performance.

Details

  • Seminars are held at 11am each Thursday during semester
  • Seminars are held in Studio 7D (Building 880 - Conservatorium, Sturt St Southbank Room 710) and any breakouts are held in Studio 7F (Building 880 - Conservatorium, Sturt St Southbank Room 721).
  • Composition Seminar is held on Wednesday at 3.15pm in Studio 7D (Building 880 - Conservatorium, Sturt St Southbank Room 710)
